THE BLUES CREW is ontstaan als bluessectie van de Maastrichtse Stichting Roots Unlimited. Handelsmerk: authentieke, oude stijl / ol’ skool blues, variërend van akoestische country blues tot ingetogen elektrisch repertoire van recentere datum. Blues zoals die oorspronkelijk bedoeld was: direct – sprankelend – pakkend. De muzikanten van THE BLUES CREW zijn allemaal oude rotten in het vak en speelden/spelen in diverse bands en collectieven.
Belangrijkste wapenfeit tot nu toe: het winnen van de B.R.U.L.-contest 2022 als beste Limburgse blues- en roots-band waardoor de band in 2023 ook het openingsconcert verzorgde van de 25ste Southern Blues Night in de Heerlense stadsschouwburg.

THE BLUES CREW originated as a blues section of the Maastricht Foundation Roots Unlimited. Trademark: Authentic, old style/ol’ skool blues ranging from acoustic country blues to more recent understated electric repertoire. Blues as it was originally intended: direct – sparkling – catchy. The musicians of THE BLUES CREW are all seasoned musicians who played / play in various bands and collectives.
Most important achievement to date: winning the 2022 B.R.U.L.-contest as the best Limburg blues and roots band, which means that the band also provided the opening concert of the 25th Southern Blues Night in Heerlen’s city theater in 2023.
